2.10.22  CSA General Meeting Minutes

• Dr Padberg Updates:
  • New Gymnasium-the district chose Wachter Construction Company. They will most likely begin construction when the school year ends.  Will continue to use existing gym and will be working with the district on how to repurpose it once the new one is complete.
  • The project will take about a year to complete. There are no plans to change the circle drive or blacktop. 
  • Checking on resolving traffic flow issues including using blacktop for pick up and drop off.
  • District Meeting Feb 14^th will discuss loosening covid restrictions. Will have three or four different phases of changing the protocols.
  • These phases include allowing parent volunteers that are up to date on background checks back into the building as well as changing mask guidelines. (parent volunteer forms can be found on Ladue website.)
  • Proceed with scheduling field trips for after Spring Break.
  • 4^th Grade field trip will be at the St. Louis Arch instead of Jefferson City. Jeff city is still under many restrictions and the arch better fits the curriculum by teaching the history of STL.  They will be making this a special, fun treat for 4^th graders as a new tradition.  Checking on whether the district will help pay for this field trip as they used to pay for Jeff City.
  • FGC center tour for 4^th graders-more info to come
  • MADCO performance is March 1^st
  • Proceed with 4^th grade party planning at The J and end of the year picnic for the whole school.
• President Updates:
  • Valentine Party: CSA purchased emoji slap bracelets for students to color and fresh strawberries with pink glaze as a treat.

Hillary: Gaga ball pit just shipped and will arrive in 7-10 days.  Funnel ball is on order for June delivery and will be a fun treat to come back to in the Fall.  Blue blocks are on order.
