The Conway Parent Association’s Annual Walk-a-Thon Fundraiser – one of Conway's proudest traditions filled with fun, spirit, and togetherness – will take place September 15th-19th.
What is the Walk-a-thon?
The Walk-a-Thon is a no-sale fundraiser to help fund CSA’s ongoing efforts, which include: field trips, teacher appreciation events, teacher grants, and other special celebrations.
It’s also a week of fun! Classes pick team names and songs, participate in theme days, play field games, and compete by walking laps. They work to earn various spirit awards and strive to be the winner of the highly coveted Golden Shoe, given to the class that completes the most laps. The week ends with an assembly and a popsicle celebration for all Conway students and staff!
When is the Walk-a-Thon?
We kick off the week with the Mile Run on Monday, September 15th at the high school track. The Mile Run is a fun event and families are invited to attend! PE teachers will share your child’s grade level time slot. Don’t be afraid to make a sign or bring noise makers to cheer your kids on from the bleachers!
For the remaining days, September 16-19, all students will participate in Walk-a-Thon events at Conway.
**We will need volunteers!**
How do we donate?
You will receive an email from the CSA and your classroom teachers with direct links to donate. We encourage you to share these links with family and friends! Donation pages will open Friday, September 12th and donations are accepted throughout the week of the Walk-a-Thon, closing at noon on September 19th. Donations will be accepted as a flat amount, not associated with the number of laps your child completes.
Our school wide Walk-a-Thon goal is $21,000, which is about $50 per student.
How can YOU support?
